I rented a 73 inch over priced tv and a PS3 from rent a center and i had it for 6 months paying 150.00 every 2 weeks for TV/PS3 game/... About 2 months later they had the X BOX360 with no payments until january 7, On December 24, my 150.00 payment was due but i didnt go down there to pay but told them that I would be there on a later day, They said fine see you then...
I went out to my daughters birthday party and came home around 7:20 and noticed some had came and stole all my electronics including RENT A CENTER 2 vidiogame consoles including all my games... I filed a police report right away and brought it to RENT A CENTER and they said that they will review the report and let me know whats up ASAP... I told them i will be in later to pay the 1 week past due...
Go home get called in to work and forgot... Next morning they come to my house saying that I owe them 180.00 past due and its only been a week which should make it 75.00 not 180.00 so i gave them 140.00 and told them that ill be by later to pay the 40.00, again i forgot and went down the next day and paid 50.00, Now i should be caught up and not have to pay for another 2 weeks,
Noooo they call me again blowing my phone up with all the calls... He said my account is past due in the amount of 120.00, HOW i just paid them 190.00 he said that just covers for 1 week I SAID WHAT ARE YOU JOKING RIGHT NOW... So i paid that aswell and they call me again saying that im still paying for the stolen merchandise because they havent did the new aggrement set up YET... I paid 2 weeks on the stolen merchandise and i wasnt suppose to...
They said that now i owe 225.00 and that the police report doesnt cover it., Police report says ENTRY-PRIED WINDOW Night Time B&E... And in the report it states that I came home home and noticed someone had entered my home through the bathroom window and stole all my stuff... RENT A CENTER saying that because the report says that someone ENTERED THE HOME THROUGH THE WINDOW and not BROKE IN THE HOME THROUGH THE WINDOW that it shows no sign of force entry...
SO what they do to get people is that if your late and your paying monthly or every 2 weeks and miss a payment they expire your arrgement and they start charging you by the week... They make out big time... Today is 2/10 and i have to pay 225.00 again... I seriously advise anyone to NOT go to RENT A CENTER... They make everything sound good at fist to get you in then they rape you for your money... IM paying 2,400.00 for a 1,500.00 MITSUBISHI 73 inch used AT THAT NOT BRAND NEW AT ALL...
Oh and everytime i made a payment it was always put down for 1 week pay not 2 and charge me on the next bill... Its F*ED UP how they do CUSTOMERS so now im going to TO get the same TV BRAND NEW IN BOX FOR 1,500 only and pay 100.00 every month. F*K RENT A CENTER they are nothing but a SCAM and they pocket some of your payment. Think not go rent from them and see where all your money goes.
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
