On 5/3/04, I placed an order with Gift-catalog.com via their Internet site for a "PlayStation Action Replay Enhancer" and a "GameBoy Advance Action Replay Enhancer", for a total purchase price of $36.99. This was to be a gift for my daughter's birthday on May 11th. That same day I received an email from Gift-catalog.com stating: "Your order has been processed successfully. Order id: #707. Order date: 03.05.2004 16:34". I also received an email that same day from shopper@uk. Worldpay.com stating: "Your transaction has been processed by WorldPay, on behalf of Ilayna Services LLC".
Birthday came and went, so on 5/12/04 I sent an inquiry to [email protected]. That same day I received this simple response: "Yes, i will check this instantly". After days of no products, emails, calls, or explanations, I inquired via email on 5/19/04,5/21/04, and finally on 6/6/04 (I never received replies to any of these emails). Since their phone number is "temporarily disconnected", I provided them (via email) with my phone number, but again no reply.
It's not so much the amount of money I am out, but the total disappointment and heartbreak that my daughter has and is experiencing; she expected to receive her gift on or around her birthday (May 11). Today is June 17 and we have nothing. What can I do?
