Defective TV Purchased - Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV

In January I purchased a Mitsubishi 73 inch DLP TV Model NO: WD-73735. I paid three-thousand dollars for this tv. On July 21 I was watching this tv when I heard a loud pop come from the tv. The screen went dark and a red "LAMP" indicator light came on and stayed on. While researching the cause of this malfunction I learned that literally hundreds of people have experienced this same problem with Mitsubishi tvs they have bought; this lamp/bulb blowout problem. I was further appalled to learn that this company has known for years about this lamp/bulb blowout defect that their tvs were prone to have yet has done absolutely nothing to fix the problem; instead this company is charging people who have bought their defective tvs and who experience this lamp/bulb blowout problem at least one-hundred dollars for a so-called "replacement" lamp/bulb assembly; which does nothing to solve the real problem with their tvs because in a few months this "replacement" also blows out. It has now been almost a month since my tv; which I paid all this money for and have gotten only two and a half years of service out of quit working. Had I known beforehand that I would have to continually pay money every few months just to keep this tv working I NEVER would have bought it. This is scandalous and Mitsubishi should be made to either recall their defective tvs and really FIX the problem or give people who have bought their overpriced defective tvs their money back.
