Non existant customer service, set hasn't worked right for almost 6 months, and still not working right Unknown

On Febrary 13, I purchased a 55" Auria television set from Menards. Right away, we noticed a blurring that happened whenever there was any quick motion on the screen. I tried to call the phone number that was listed in the booklet that came with the tv, with no success. After 3 days, someone named Daniel answered the phone and told me that they do not deal with the larger tv sets, and gave me a phone number to call for help. The number he gave me is not a toll free number. Regardless, I called the number and spoke to a woman. I explained about the blurring and the picture quality. She had no idea how to solve the problem. After she made a few suggestions that didn't work, she told me that they would set up a service call and send someone out to fix the set. That never happened.

After calling them back another 10 times within a month period, someone finally called and said that they knew what the problem was an a service call would be arranged. After another 3 days without hearing anything, I called again. This time, their excuse was that they couldn't find a technician in our area. Since we had had a problem with our other tv, I knew of two technicians who could come out. I gave the names and numbers of those two technicians to Auria.

After another 6 days, one of those companies did call me and set up an appointment time. However, the day they were suppose to come out, they called to say that they still hadn't received the part or update that was suppose to fix my set. I called Auria again, and was told that the update had been sent and refused to resend it!

On April 1 (almost 2 months with the set), someone was finally able to come out and install the part and update that was suppose to fix my set. They didn't. Now, my set either blurs, or jerks. I called Auria right away to report the problem, but was told that they would contact their engineers and I would hear back.

Instead, Auria's warranty company (Omni Warranty) called me on April 6. I explained the problems I was/am having. They told me that the problem is not with their set, but with my DirecTV box, my DVD player, my BluRay player, and my Wii! They said that their tv is too fast (120 hz) and that all of my equipment only broadcasts in 60 hz. I called DirecTV, and confirmed that the problem is not on their end, which is what I pretty much expected to hear.

In July, we started having volume problems with the set. I called Auria and asked about the blurring problem, and also informed them of the new problem. On July 8, the company that had installed the update back in April, called and set up a service call to install a new main board, and a new sound board. On July 13, the boards were replaced. The sound problem seems to have been resolved, but the blurring is worse than ever. I called Auria and asked them if the new board had received the update that had been installed on the old board. They were unable to tell me. I was told that they would contact their engineers in China, (yes, China!), and I would hear back in two weeks. It's been two weeks, and I still haven't heard a thing. I called Auria on July 25, and was told that they haven't heard back yet. I told the person I spoke with that I needed to have the update installed, and that all they needed to do was to call the repair company and have them come out and install it. They will not do that until they hear back from their engineers.

So, that's where I stand now. I've owned a 55" tv for 6 months and it still isn't playing the way it should. I asked about extending my warranty, since they still haven't fixed the set, and it has never played correctly. I was told that since the set is usable, they will not extend the warranty.
A warning to all is to NOT waste your money on an Auria product. Their customer service is non existant, and you will not be happy with the picture quality. As long as you are looking at a screen with no movement, the picture is excellent. But, otherwise, you will start to feel qeasy from the blurring or jerking.
