MCI WorldCom Wireless Rip-off

After a year of endless problems with WorldCom Wireless accounting service, I sent the company a service termination notice today. The most recent foul-up (polite version): On Nov 5 I mailed a payment for which I subsequently received a past due notice and on Nov 20 I called customer service and after noting the check number and taking my VISA # to pay for the period of 9/11-11/10 (MCI is way behind billings) he gave me a confirmation # and told me the post office was weeks behind on mail deliveries. Thinking the matter resolved, last week I received a billing dated 11/22 showing I had a past due payment (called my bank and the payment in question had cleared 11/19) and new charges for the period on 9/11-10/16, a portion of the period I had already paid by VISA on the 20th.

My VISA payment had not been credited. Having had an earlier experience of paying in advance, the check cashed and my account not credited, followed by 6 months of calls and faxes before my acct was credited, my patience had run out. Never in my 72 years have I ever had such accounting service problems as I've had with MCI Wireless. Stay away!
