He ripped me off by lying to me and selling me a piece of junk surround sound

I was approached by this guy in a cvs parking lot. He had a green chevy suburban. He claimed that his company had to get rid of brand new merchandise for cheap since they had ordered to much of it. He seemed nice and it all seemed legit. The box was unopened and he opened it up to show me that the equipment was all there. It all seemed like a good deal until i got home and started reading some scam reports of the same thing happening to other people. I haven't tried out the speakers yet but i don't know if i should or if i should try to resell them and get my $260 back
