I bought a 57" projection screen TV from Mitsubishi Digital Electronics. The model number was WDY-577. This televison came with a one year warranty and you could purchase a two year warranty for an extra $500.00.
After three years the televison projection lamp broke and had to be replaced. It cost me $200.00 to do this. A couple weeks after that the optical engine part number 938P075010 began to break down causing tiny, bright, white, pixels to appear on the viewing screen.
As the days progressed more and more pixels became brilliantly white distorting the screen and making it impossible to watch. I called Mitsubishi customer service to find out what the deal was with this piece of crap TV. I gave them the infomation that they asked for and they told me that they would help pay for some of the repairs.
I did not want to spend anymore money on this piece of crap TV because it had already cost me $3,700.
