Did not fix a problem on computer that they created

I purchased a new computer less than thirty days ago, and at time of purchase I asked them to install windows XP pro rather than keep the xp home edition that came with the computer. Subsequently upon the install they deleted all the drivers to the computer. I left it overnight for them to fix, and upon getting home found that the DVD player, recorder did not work. I called them explaining the problem, and Mr. Alphonso Abraham the service manager stated it was a software problem and not under warranty to fix. On a service the upgrade or repair there is a standard 30 day warranty but per them this did not fall under the warranty.

I also had purchased a three year warranty on the computer when I bought it and was informed that this would not cover the repair either. As this was something the did during the Operating system upgrade, I feel they should fix the problem to ensure the full system is operable. It will now cost me either and additional $59.00 at their store or another one to get the problem resolved. I have sent them a certified letter demanding repair, and will forward copy of letter to appliance and electronic consumer repair bureau in California if this is not resolved. Very poor customer service on a new computer with value at $1600.00
