I had a TomTom One and since half of the places weren't on their maps, I decided to buy a map Update for $79.95.
I purchased it through their website.
Once downloaded on my GSP, it started to be really slow so that when it said "Turn Right" I was already past the intersection. Plus none of the places I wanted to go was on the map.in other words, a huge map disaster! So I thought "no problem I'm going to uninstall the map and install it again" right? Wrong! You cannot uninstall a map once it's on the gps! So I was totally stuck!
So I had no GPS, $80 down the drain and my business which depends on a GPS was going slow.
I contacted TomTom and they just said "You bought a download, no refund for you!".
I had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to even talk to the business, and TomTom replied that they offered a new set of maps to me. I have never heard from them so they never offered anything to me. I checked all my emails to see if by any chance they sent me a link... Nothing.
So besides the fact they are lying, they are going to keep my money. Yup, thats right.
Never do business with these scammers again.
By the way, I bought a Garmin Nuvi, and works much better that TomTom. Maps are really complete FREE dowloads from their website.
I have all the conversations from and to TomTom Inc to prove this.
