Worthless Warranty - Outlander Warranty

I have a 2008 Outlander.in October of last year it began losing power and the engine sounded like it was working harder. We took it in for an oil change and that didn't help. Shortly thereafter, we had a big storm here in the Virginia Beach area. We drove through big puddles and standing water, but nothing that should have been a problem for an "SUV." Anyway the problem had occured before the storm. When I took the car into the dealer they diagnosed a bad air conditioner compressor clutch and a bad mass air flow sensor. They also said they found water in the "air box." Then they tried to convince me to file a claim against my insurance even though they acknowledged the water didn't cause the bad compressor clutch. I called customer service for the warranty and they simply repeated the mechanics line about filing a claim against my insurance. Isn't it a crime to encourage someone to file a fraudulent insurance claim? Even if the air flow sensor was damaged by the rain, that still leaves the compressor clutch for them to repair. They even told me how many claims they had filed against the insurance companies and gave me the old, "everybody is doing it" line. How can they be so blatant in their fraud? I filed a claim with the arbitration company they hired, but after that fails I fully intend to file a lawsuit and pursue it with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office. I'll keep everybody updated until the news picks up the story.
