Stopped by my Bank at Wells Fargo On Robert Street and this guy approached me telling that his delivery company mistakenly put excess surround speakers on his Van and he therefore needed to get rid of them. I smelled a rat but still fell for it. He wanted $ 400.00 but i heckled him down to $200.00. Later on i went online and found out that he was a con man. I went back to the bank and found him still there and was able to trick him into believing that a friend of mine was also interested in the speakers but lived an hour away. I arranged with the dude to meet us in an undisclosed location with my "friend". The ConMan fell for it, His greed for money got the best of him i suppose. I later called the police and arranged to have an officer meet us separately at the location. I drove to the location and found the dude waiting for me. I hid by the gas pump till the officer came then he attempted to flee but was pulled over. Apparently, They cant arrest the guy unless they have a warrant so all they could do was ask that he refund my money. The guy was mad as hell and i made him madder. Long story short, i got my money back, made a fool of him and now my phone is ringing off the hook and the guys is trying to vent out telling me i need to pay his soliciting citation. I told him not to call my number again or else i will call back the police and report that he is threatening me. The phone hasn't rung in the last hour so i think he has finally gotten the message. (Caveat Emptor) Buyer beware, i was lucky this time around but i may not be this lucky next time.
