A 20ish looking man and his girlfriend approached me about a home audio system stating that they work for the manufacturer and they had left-over product. I was suspiscious at first but he had a business card and recipts and was so friendly that I let him get the best of me. He was offering a $2,500 Olin Ross system for $400. After asking a few times he finally gave me a recipt and as he drove away I wrote down his license plate thinking it would somehow save me if it was too good to be true. Too bad for me it was. It was truely only worth $100- if nothing was wrong with it. I filed a police report and after some self-investigation found that their address is legitimate - it looks abandoned but I called the leasing company and they lease the property. If this happens to you don't confuse them with Alliance distributing because that is a completely different company. Thanks to this website I read about a similar situation in a different state and will continue to go to the address until I find someone there - according to the other post they are generally there early in the morning so we will see if I can catch them. Don't be had! If you think it's too good to be true it is!
