Two men approached me at the Speedway gas station at the corner of Benchwood and Miller Lane and told me that they had a set of olin ross speakers and olin ross surround sound unit that was left over from a job and they could not be taken back. I purchased the OR860 surround sound unit today on my lunch break and I have not even been able to take the unit out of the box, because when I googled Olin Ross (which is a very reputable company that I was familiar with) to find out what the current value of the system is, I found that I was scammed by the white van.
As my gas was pumping I ran into Speedway and got $200 out of the ATM so that I could add that amount to the $100 in my pocket. I thought this was my lucky day, a $2500 unit (they even had a copy of a magazine with the retail price of the "real" system) for only $300. I should have known it was too good to be true.
I told him I wanted his name and number and he told me it was Curtis and his number is 859-907-6608. I told him I would call with any problems. The guy was young about 25 and so was his partner. I would love to find these guys and would like to have an original Olin Ross speaker system. I have no idea how they can package a piece of crap system in original boxing and packaging material.
It is obvious that these guys are everywhere and today they are in Dayton Ohio. 11/6/08
