RadioShack (Global Services, Inc) possible RadioShack rebate rip off Mesa Arizona...
I filed a rebate claim for a cable modem I purchased recently. Since I had a similar bad experience before with another company I included all required information in the envelope as requested and mailed the claim by certified mail and after making photocopies of the documents.
After many weeks I received a postcard stating that I did not submit the required documents, and that I must submit missing/valid items by July 19.
Today I called the phone number provided and explained that I sent everything as required, and asked how was it possible that they received my original claim and yet I am being told that they did not receive the documents I sent inside the envelope.
I was asked to call back again on July 25th because time was needed to check if they received the documentation as required. I asked for a case number so that I have a proof of the fact that I was asked to wait until July 25th. I needed this proof to prevent a possible loop hole.
I am concerned that when I call back on July 25th my rebate claim maybe denied on grounds that I did not respond to their resubmission demand by July 19th. I suspect a possible rip off situation because even the supervisor at the call center I talked to did not provide me with an earlier date to call back, or provided me with a case number.
