The company false advertises on their website. They entice customers with cheap prices and then call you to try to add more to the price

I believe Stop & Shop Digital lures customers with cheap prices on their website and then tries to make you buy more to bring the price back up. If you don't, they'll tell you that shipping will take very long time. The item will not be shipped and eventually you get frustrated and cancel the order. If you buy their add ons, the order will be shipped relatively quick.
On 6/30/09 I ordered a Nikon Coolpix S60 through their website. The internet price was $151.05 total with a 7-12 shipping time frame. After I ordered, the next day I received a phone call from one of their salesperson. S The salesperson initially told me that he was calling to confirm the order. Immediately after that he aggressively pushed for me to buy extras that would have brought the price in the range of $250 to $300. I refused and told him no and also told him that all I wanted was what was advertised on their website. He then asked me where in their website I had found the camera and I told him that all I did was look for that specific Nikon brand and it came up. He then told me that the reason that the price was cheap was because everything was in japanese (language in the camera and also the book that came with it). I said ok, I was fine with it — I later checked on this and their website specifically stated that everything was in english — the salesperson was lying to me.
After he offered more items and I refused he told me that it would take anywhere between 6-8 weeks to ship (contrary to the 7-12 days advertised) and hung up on me before I could ask why so long. During the whole conversation, after he found out that I wasn't interested in buying, the salesperson was very short and rude with me.
I waited a couple of weeks and sent them an e-mail through their website to get information on the shipping date and also to talk about the "japanese" only camera. No response. I did this one more time about 3 weeks later and no response. Today, 9/30/09, I called their 800 number and I couldn't get through their customer and shipping information options. The funny thing is I then tried the sales option and I was immediately responded to. I talked to the salesperson and he transferredd me to a customer representative. I told the customer rep that my camera hadn't been shipped yet and it had been over 9 weeks. He apologized and he told me that it would take longer to get because it was a difficult model to get and he had no idea when I would get it. I then requested to cancel the order, he cancelled and hung up right away. He wasn't friendly but he wasn't rude.
