Pay as you go account active till but minutes expired and lost

I bought a pay as you go phone from Virgin Mobile. It was not explained to me that having an active account is separate from any minutes you buy. So now I have a phone that is active until April with no minutes on it. I bought a 1000 minute pack and still had 900 minutes remaining on it. But since I didn't buy more minutes, those minutes are gone. What a rip off!!!
What is the point of buying 1000 minutes to get a better price, when you have to buy more minutes next month to not lose them. These people know what they are doing. What Virgin Mobile is doing is ripping off the consumers.
If you are looking for a reasonable priced phone and not using a lot of minutes, steer clear of Virgin Mobile and their rip offs. Trackfone is much better. Txxxx's price is better. If you buy a block of minutes from them, it automatically extends your service time. With Txxxx, I have had better reception than on the Virgin Mobile piece of junk. Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
