I am looking for help and advise from our USA Friends!
I have just visited New Orleans on vacation and went into a Camera shop to price up a Fuji camera for a friend, the assistant approached myself and a friend and told us the fuji was out of date and we needed to buy the latest Panasonic Sv-AV20 Video camera which retails at $1299 as shown on the price tag, he advised us both that if we bought 2 we could have them for $650 each, we were duped into buying the items thinking we had got a good deal, imagine my horror to find on returning to England that on the Panasonic web site they cost $299 each!
I phoned the shop where I purchased the cameras and explained the situation only to be told after several calls that they are not prepared to refund any difference and there is nothing I could do about it.
Two things horrified me about this. The first is can I seek justice and can anyone give me advice on whom to contact to make a complaint, the second is very surprising to find out people from The United States would rip off there main allies from the UK. I would appreciate as much help as possible, the shop admits they over priced the item. The shop is Orleans Camera Video center, 611 Canal Street New Orleans LA70130

PS after 8 visits to the United States this leaves a bitter taste and despite my love of the country my family and I will maybe never return after this despicable con act!
