I pay for insurance on my cell phone from us cellular. However the phone would not stay charged and the carrier said that since it had been just over a year i would have to file a claim with THE SIGNAL. They also said that one of the prongs on the inside of the charging port was stripped. Which is why it wouldnt stay charged.
So i filed a claim withe the signal insurance. And my claim was denied.
They said that it was normal wear and tear for the prong to break and since there was no incident for it that they would not cover it. I talked to 2 different people and a supervisor to no avail. If i had done something such as drop the phone and break it or run it over or lose it down the toilet or lose it period then it would be covered but since i had not done something stupid and broken it it was not covered.
They would not budge. I think that is ridiculous. Its not normal for a prong to get stripped. But thats what they said.
