I was looking to buy a battery for my camcorder.By randomly looking online, I found accessorycircut.com. They had the battery I want (which is supposedly the same brand as my camcorder) for the best price online and in-stores. The site said that they have several on hand and in stock.
I placed an order and was happy. Later that day, I got a phone call from them saying that my battery is on back order, and if I would like to replace it with one that also fits my camera and lasts longer. The price was only $10 more. I said ok. But I asked first " Would this camera work on my camcorder like the original one. No external adapter needed?" The answer was YES.
3 days latter I get the product in the mail. It was a generic brand. The battery is coming with its charger because it can't be charged through the camera (which I asked the guy about and he confirmed) I place the battery in my camcorder, and it can't communicate as well as the original battery, so I can never know how long it will last before the next charge. So now I spent more money than that of the original battery on a generic brand that won't fit well.
I look online later and found another customer had the same experience but with lenses. He placed an order and later they called him saying that it is on back order, would he like to replace it!
So I warn all of you. You will be paying for something that won't be like the original, and they will mislead you by confirming that they are providing you with better option
