I came into contact with Charlie Burt through a classified ad in the Business section of the Philadelphia Inquirer and was told that he is only interested in recruiting one person to distribute his motor controller product. I signed on and gave him a refundable check of $ 15,000.00. Charlie was supposed to provide me with training and a demo unit. He has done neither.
As I started to get suspicious about his true intentions, I found out that his ad was still running in the paper and in many other areas including other states. On October 20 a police officer from the Buckingham Township Police Department accompained me to his house so that I could ask for my money back. He agreed and since then, I have trying to get my money back.
In the last month, I decided to do some research and found five more people that Charlie has taken $ 15,000.00 from and given similar stories. We just met a detective from the same police department, who told us that he is familiar with Charles Burt. He told us that he is a scammer and he has been to his house for other scams that he has been running. The last scam involved selling Iraq money, the dinars.
I would like to get my $ 15,000.00 from this person. But, most important, I want to stop this man from conning other people into giving him their money!
