Wow! I just read 10 other rip-off entries about FLS. I'm very hurt because I am also a victim.
I ordered a CD Writer on 10/7/02 (thru yahoo. Store.com) and printed out my confirmation page that described everything and specified Ground Shipmment. 3 weeks later I received an email from them - "thank you for your order." (But I never was charged)
On 10/30/02 I finally was billed on my credit card, and my computer friend said they usualy have back orders with the discout merchandise. So I remained patient and decided to wait another month.
Each week I called the phone number (during office hours of course) that showed up on my credit card statement - but I got the same answering machine message like everyone else - "... Our office hours are from 10am-5pm Pacific Standard Time... Leave a message after the beep... (beep)... Voice-mailbox is full, try again later, goodbye."
Today, 12/2/02, I decided I'm going to buy my CD-Writer from somewhere else and I want my money back from FLS. So I called my credit card company and filed a dispute against the charge. The credit card company automatically took the money back from FLS's bank account and credited my account.
I feel much better now & Thank God for credit cards!
