Direct TV lies and does not honor their offers - DirecTV service

Okay I am guilty of wanting to save money so after hours of researching comparing offers I decided to go with direct tv. When I signed up with direct tv I was told that it was going to be $44.99 for the first 10 months with all my discounts and $54.99 for months 11&12 and $74.99 for months 13 thru 24. I was also told that the first payment was not due until thirty days after the install. The installers were prompt, friendly and set up the system quickly.
Then on August 27 the day after my installation I was direct debited $130 from direct tv when I only authorized $45 to be taken. This $130 withdrawal left me literally. 10 cents in the bank. I promptly called direct tv who appeared to be courteous and readily available to correct the issue. Turns out they would not refund my the difference of $130 and $45 to my account and that none of the promotional credits were placed on my account. After 3 hours on the phone with them they gave me a credit and said that they had corrected the issue and my next bill would be the $45 bill. September 27th came around and I was charged another $139 for my service. I called again spent 44 mins on the phone with apologies and promises that they would give me a credit for the difference which was $94. On October 24th almost a month later they still had not corrected the issue. This phone call lasted almost 2 hours and I was promised by the supervisor that it had be escalated and my charges for October 27th would be $45 and the other other credits should be appearing on my account within about 72 hours. October 27th came and went I was again billed $139 instead of the promised rate of $45. I inquired as to cancelling the account and was told that they would cancel but they would then debit my account for their outrageous cancellation fees. I must say I don't understand how direct tv is in breach by not providing me with the fees and services I was promised but as a consumer I am on the hook for their services/cancellation fees because they as a company cannot keep their end of the contract. I believe that direct tv should waive their fees pick up their equipment and let me go to another company that will keep their word and not create such turmoil and financial stress.
