DigitalCorp is BY FAR the shadiest company I have ever dealt with buying an item on eBay or anywhere else in general.

I ordered a Canon XTi SLR Camera from them; the item description included an 18-55mm lens, NEW, Never Opened, including several other items. I went onto the Canon Website just to make sure that what they were advertising was actually the latest items, and it appeared they were, as there was only 1 model of the 18-55mm lens on the website. They had exact descriptions as the other vendors on eBay with the same items, but were $10 less expensive, so naturally I bought the camera from them. I paid for the item immediately. A day or so later I got an email saying that I needed to call to "Confirm The Order", this is when I started to get a bit suspicious as eBay vendors NEVER make you call & confirm the order, but I went ahead and did it anyway.

Once I confirmed the order, Joe G, then proceeded to tell me that the lens that I ordered was an analog lens, and that it didn't have auto-focus, and that I needed to upgrade to the New Canon lens with auto-focus. At this time I asked him about the "New, Never Opened" portion of the item listing, he told me it was for the Camera, and that Canon had different models of the 18-55mm lens, one digital & one analog. I wanted to check it out first then get back to him on that, but he told me that it had to be done right there because he would throw in the "$40 Express Shipping" for FREE, and also included a 4-Hour Lithium Ion battery at no charge. After a few minutes or questioning why that wasnt advertised on the item description, he told me that it was just the standard lens. Quite disgruntled I decided to do it, only because I had a party that weekend, and needed the camera for a gift, even though I had a strong feeling that I had been suckered.

After I got off the phone, I did a search for DigitalCorp, and usacomplaints.com was the first site that came up, and a person before me had the almost exact same scenario that I had experienced with them. My anger level then really began to rise. I called around and checked out other stores with the same lens, and they had mentioned that there was no Analog and digital lens difference for the 18-55mm model.

The next day I tried calling back DigitalCorp, no luck getting though after 4 voice mails, etc... Then I tried to call back for sales, and naturally my call was taken in seconds. I asked to speak with a customer service supervisor, and then they forwarded me to another sales person. I asked about the lens that I had originally purchased on eBay, and he explained that it was the auto-focus lens etc. So I asked him then why "Joe G." told me that I needed to upgrade to the same lens for $249 more... Knowing they were caught, he then began to stutter, and told me I had to speak with "Joe G." about canceling my entire order when I asked him to do so. He said that only "Joe G." had the authority to do that, but he wasnt in the office at the time.

Naturally, the thieves I now know they are, "Joe G." wouldn't return my phone calls, and then finally I got him on the line and explained what was going on. He then said he was just trying to do me a favor, yadda-yadda-ya... Etc... And that if I decided to not get the "upgraded Auto-Focus lens", because it was better than the "Standard Lens". I looked onto the Canon website again, yet the only lens they had was the Auto-Focus lens with Image Stabilization. He then told the original lens I bought was New, but that it may not be the new model, but that if I wanted "Express Overnight Shipping" I had to pay $89. Then I asked him why he told me a few days earlier that it was $40, and now it was $89, and then he told me that he never said it was $40. I had written EVERYTHING down that he told me that day, due to the suspicious "Confirm Your Order" email.

I asked him why he was continuing to lie to me, after he had already been exposed, and then he said that everything he said was truthful, and I must have misunderstood the auction, and mis-heard his quote about the $40 express shipping. I had a very important event that I needed the camera for that weekend, and just decided to do it, and move forward with my life, and NEVER to do business with DigitalCorp again.

So then they charged my credit card twice, and the Billing Services person FINALLY picked up the phone, and mentioned that she had not received ANY of my 4 voicemails I had left for her. She mentioned that thought it went through, my card had been declined so they had to run it a couple more times. I had PLENTY of money in the account, so know that was just another DigitalCorp LIE. Lying is what this company does best.

I had it up to my eyeballs with DigitalCorp by this time. Finally I decided forget it, Im canceling this order now, but she could not do it, and the person who could OF COURSE was not in. Again I tried calling and couldn't get through to anyone, and now I refused to talk to "Joe G., as I was sick of lie after lie after lie, but as they said he was the only one that could cancel my order. So I called my credit card company and stopped payment on everything. I left 6 VOICEMAILS with DigitalCorp telling them NOT TO SHIP the item.

A day later I get an email letting me know the item had been shipped "Overnight Express". I received the item 2 days later (it was not shipped overnight obviously), and what lens that came with it, but the ORIGINAL Standard Lens that had auto-focus on it that I originally purchased on eBay! There was no information on the Canon website regarding the lens because it was a discontinued item. On top of that, the 4-our battery they threw in, did not fit the camera either. I left several voicemails regarding this, but naturally none have been returned.

I have the items right now, but am shipping them back to DigitalCorp immediately. I opened up the box strictly out of curiosity of the lens, and other shipping and informational items. I am going to take these guys to the limit because their fraudulent business practices and AWFUL customer service. If I could personally put them out of business I would, just to save others from having to deal with their incompetence & thievery.

Please do yourselves a favor and NEVER do business with DigitalCorp; you will regret it in the end, as they are fraudulent and are willing to lie to get the sale.
