False return policy, bad customer service and bait and switch

14 Apr 1835pm

I called Lens N More to purchase a Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer ($1,349.00) and a wide angle lens. I was told that he would give me the upgraded version (70-200mm f/2.8 EX II DG APO Macro HSM IF Autofocus Lens) on sale at $1299 if I decided to get the 28-70mm f/2.8-4.0 DG High Speed Compact Zoom wide angle. So, I agreed.

So, we began processing my information. I then inquired about the companies return policy and warranty and was told money back within seven days and a one year warranty. The processing continued.

During possessing he read my order and said I would be receiving the:
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4.0 DG High Speed Compact Zoom wide angle $200 which was fine and a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX II DG APO Macro HSM IF Autofocus Lens $1299.

I told him that was wrong I wanted the Canon and was told Sigma makes the Canon it's a much betted lend and price. So we continued and was told I needed to call the credit card company and add a alternate address since my mailing and delivery address were different and that they would hold.

While doing the address addition I decided not to place the order but when I returned to the other line it was disconnected. Less than a minute later I was on the phone with one of their reps. I told them I did not want to place the order and to cancel it they replied not a problem but, you do know there will be a 15% restocking fee.

I was never told about the restocking fee when I asked about the return policy. I didn't even know the purchase was already final, I thought they needed me to make the address chance before that could happen. I guess I was wrong. I then told them that if I couldn't get a full refund I would like the item I requested. They responded I agreed to the item they recommended but, if I wanted the Canon 70-200mm f/4.0L IS USM Autofocus Telephoto Zoom Lens it would cost $1,199.99. I told them their sight says it cost $1339 they replied that won't work with your camera due to it being a plastic base and I needed the metal base that cost $1999.in frustration I told him to send the product.

15 Apr 0815 am

After thinking over my decision and doing some research I discovered that I had been overcharged an average of $400 dollars. Also this company has a reputation for this conduct. Due to the poor service and questionable tactics I decided to take it as a lesson learned and deal with the $150 loss.

So, at 0930 am I called and explained my situation and was directed to call back at 1100 am when customer service opened. I called back at 1100 and was tolled to call at 1130 am, once again when customer service opened. I agreed and asked who the manager would be and was told that would be Andy.

Finally at 1130 I explained once again that I wanted my order cancelled and my payment refunded. I was told the order had been filled and shipped via UPS. I then asked for a UPS tracking number and was told I could receive that at around 1730 pm. When I asked why I couldn't I have it if it had already been shipped, I was told they had to manually enter them and they couldn't give them out until then. So they did not want to provide the tracking number.

I then worked towards cancelling the order and was told it could not be cancel until they I requested a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). So then requested for a RMA and was told I couldn't request one until I received the item.

I then asked if I was speaking with Andy and was met with surprise. He acted like he didn't know who Andy was and responded with who's Andy. I said isn't Andy your manager he then responded with oh, yes he is the manager.

I asked to speak with the manager and was told to call back at 1745 he would be in then. So I asked am I going to continue getting the run around with this company and was met with Im hanging up now and a dial tone.

I was promised to receive the product by 18 Apr. Im not sure what I will receive and if I they will honor their return policy.

I still have not received any purchase information from this company
