I placed an order on line for a Garmin nuvi 760 GPS. I thought I was getting an outstanding buy they were offering the item for $150.00 less than everyone else online. There was a message on my phone at home to call 86th Street Video & Photo to confirm my order.
So I called and confirmed my information and the SHIPPING date. I was to receive the GPS in 3-5 bussinss days when I place the order. Since I lost a day by the confimation call I was willing to pay additional for shipping to be able to receive the GPS in 3 days.
At that point everything was fine. THEN the phone representive started with you need to know that the item does not come with a charger. So for $99.00 I can sell you a charger for your car & home. When I replied no I did not need that. Then he reduced the price to $79.00 I still said I did not need the charges. Then he tried to sell me a memory card. Which I did not want. And finally he tried to sell me extended warrenty.
After saying no to all of this, he then said I would receive them GPS in two weeks! I said to him you just told if I paid more for shipping I would get it in 3 days. He then said it had to be sent to the store then ship to me. At that point I canceled the order.
After thinking about how wrong the sales tactics were. I called back. I got the same person that I canceled the order with and asked for a supervisor he put me on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back only to get another guy that was NOT a supervisor that would not listen to the problem but just hung up on me!
Buyers beware!!! Bad business people!!!
