I bought a Progressive Scan Durabrand home DVD player for the house I work at around Christmas time. It has stopped working. It now turns on, but won't turn off. And it won't spin, or show anything on the TV at all. I have checked everything, it is the machine.
I tried to call the customer service number on the bottom of the machine and got a recording telling me "this number is no longer in service, no further information is available at this time." I called Wal-Mart where I purchesed the DVD player and they said they have never heard anything like this before. They also do not have an alternate number.
I have tried to look the company up online and found some that seem similar, but not quiet the same. Isn't this criminal? I thought there were laws against things like this. I couldn't sell defective products to unsuspecting consumers and walk away with out giving contact information, I would go to jail.
Something should be done.
