Back in November a good friend of mine turned me on to his neighbor, Alden Allen of Hesperia, whom he had just recently introduced himself to. Alden had mentioned that he has a sports memorbilia business and was also able to get LCD TVs at wholesale price in bulk orders. At the time my heating and air business was struggling and I thought this would be a good way to get ahead of my bills for a couple months. Another buddy of mine invested in the TVs as well which made me feel safer about the whole deal.
Well, needless to say, things went south. Delivery dates of before or by Christmas were pushed to New Years, then later in January which rolled into February and is now in March. Excuses compounded by lies, including the death of his mother, along with his personal financial troubles due to her death were daily occurences. The person who reported him using fradulent or bogus UPS tracking numbers with his old business A&C Mobile Audio is all too familiar, as is Gomez Tires in Fontana where the delivery truck which contained my TVs was supposedly being held as collateral for yet another mess he had gotten himself into.
After trying the threats of court and police I decided to play pathetic and let him know he was hurting my family financially and emotionally because of his actions, and that I needed help to make my house payment before it was 30 days late. He then gave me a bank routing number and account number to make my payment over the phone last minute, apoligized for the inconvienence and said he would make it all up to me, that he was gonna take care of me for being so cool and patient with him.
After another week there is still no sign of TVs, and the cut off day, today was met by the excuse of a car jacking resulting in a skull fracture (I wish). I decided to google his name, not expecting to see anything, when this site popped up. I saw the article written in 2004 and as soon as I began to read it I just knew it was the same guy burning the same kind of people, hard working, nice, family men looking to cash in on a good deal. I immediately thought of the account number he had given me just days before, I looked up the bank the routing number belonged to and found it belonged to an account drawn in McCallen Texas. My nightmare continues.
If anyone who reads this has any information that can be helpful in getting this scum off the streets and behind bars, please respond to this article. I will update with further information as I get it.
