Tusted Dealer.com, Dgital Devliver NOT A TRUSTED DEALER.com

Because this is a very recent post, I urge anyone who reads this to seriously take my review, and all of the other reviews recently posted, to heart. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER ANY ITEM FROM THIS SITE! I, like many other people, have ignored the bad reviews about Trusteddealer.com and decided to give them a chance, perhaps because they had a better sale or because the price of an item was cheaper than other companies. Either way, the decision was more costly in the end.

I order a canon sd850 digital camera from them on Sunday, January 27. I got a confirmation e-mail the same day. The next day I received another e-mail stating that I needed to call them to verify billing information. I called them on Tuesday, January 29 and spoke to a Kevin Thompson. During the conversation, he tried to sell me an extra battery for the camera; I declined it. He then offered an extended warranty of 5 years that would cover anything and everything regarding the camera. I declined this too, but then he made the offer again saying that he would give the extended warranty to me at "his price" AND upgrade my shipping method all for $93.00. I asked when I would receive the camera if he was expediting the order and upgrading the shipping. He said I would receive the product on Friday, February 1. This sounded like a good deal, so I agreed. He of course was happy and told me if I had any problems to feel free to call him anytime. Friday came and the camera did not arrive. Since their office is closed on Saturday and Sunday I wasn't able to call them about the delivery. I decided to check the order status on their website and found that the delivery date was scheduled to arrive on today (Tuesday, February 5). Well the camera did arrive today, but it was missing the sd memory card. However when I checked the invoice there was a charge of $12.95 for shipping and a $94.00 charge for the extended warranty. Ok, so an extra $1.00 for the warranty wasn't a big deal, but the extra charge for the shipping?! I immediately called them and asked to speak to the sales person. The "customer services" lady asked for my order number, which I gave to her. She then told me that the order had been shipped. I confirmed that I had received it, but needed to talk to Kevin regarding an extra shipping charge. She said that he couldn't talk to me after the order was shipped. I then asked her about the extra shipping charge and she said that it was because the shipping method was upgraded. I said it was supposed to be, but free of charge since I had purchased the extended warranty. She began rambling on that the warranty and shipping are not related and that it was not documented in their system. She was rude beyond belief! When I asked for her name she hung up on me. I called right back and asked for Kevin directly. She again asked for my order number. I once again told her and she said that he can't help me. I asked to speak to the manager and she said that Carla would not be there for another hour. I said that I would call back.

When I called back later I asked to speak to Carla (who actually sounded like the lady who answered the phone!). I explained the situation to her and she gave me the same line of crap. She told me that they cannot refund the extra shipping charge, even thought it was fraudulently sold to me. I told her that I no longer wanted the extended warranty and I wanted refund. She said that they cannot refund the extended warranty and it is in their policy, which by the way is not listed on their website at all! We argued back and forth for a few minutes and I told her that I was lied to and she said there's nothing she could do because of the company's "policy." She said that I didn't know what I was saying because I did not work there and don't know what their "policy" is. I politely asked if they give refunds of any type. She then said "Yes, but not to you." NOT TO ME?!?!

I said, "Excuse me?!" She then said that she was not going to argue with me anymore. I said that she was less than helpful and she hung up on me.

I implore any one who reads this, whether your a consumer or business, PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRUSTEDDEALER.com (aka digital delivered, red tag savings)!!!

I also checked them out on the Better Business Bureau website (which I should have done before ordering) and they have an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB (a 118 complaints).

Here are their phone numbers in case you are curious about what kind of people they are:

(800) 325-0304
(718) 826-1826
(718) 826-1876

Good luck in your search for the product you want. Just remember to stay away from this business and put your money elsewhere, even if you do have to spend a little more somewhere else it will be worth it. TRUSTEDDEALER.com WILL screw you over - GUARANTEED!!!
