Charges Termination Fee Higher Than Contract Internet

I have been a loyal Sprint customer for 4 years. Two years ago, I let the sales department persuade me into a new contract with a new phone for better service guaranteeing me better service. I went with the family plan for my and my two teens. A few months later, my son had his phone stolen so I had to replace it.instead of buying the cheap phone outright, I entered into a new contract for that phone only. So far no problem.

All of my contracts and receipts state that the early termination fee is $150. Last July, my phone got soaked in a rain storm and that was non-repairable. I contacted Sprint In July to find out when the contract was up and what termination fees to expect and the rep emailed back that the termination fees would be $150 per line.

Since I do not use a cellphone very often, I purchased a pre-paid phone from another service waiting for the term to expire in December and only have to suffer the one termination fee for my son's phone which is contracted to April.

Well, here is is January. I ported my number over to a Prepaid T-Mobile phone and notified Sprint that I was terminating all the phones along with the ported one. Now they are telling me it is $200 for the termination fee. I sent them an email forwarding the old email that clearly indicated the termination fee is only $150 not $200. Obviously they must have made some changes but a contract is a contract.

Their reply was still that I owe $200 termination fee for the April phone. I know it is only $50 difference but it is a matter of principle. Since July, I have paid my bills promptly even though I had no phone (I should have terminated then and saved money). So, they have made all that money and saved the airtime that wasn't used and are now trying to stiff me for another $50 on the termination fee. And, before that, they added the vision plan to my son's phone when I did not activate it. I had to fight to get that removed even though two years ago I told them to BLOCK all EXTRAS knowing how teens are.

So, is the class action suit still going forward? Because I am sure all these fees they tack on every month are illegitimate plus they are still adding features no one asks for and now the termination fee change. Certainly they cannot just change the fee when my contract states both on the application and the receipt and the email $150, right? I am ready to fight over $50 as a matter of principle especially since the phone is a cheapie and the line was only a $9.99 add-on. They also saved all the airtime and miuntes we never used up each month. Ungrateful and greedy they are.

I may try that Corporate number another poster posted, 1-866-398-4606 next week. There better not be any other surprises either.
