I ordered a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS Digital Elph for $ 265.00. I located Techon through www.everyprice.com and they were the lowest price. They called me the next day under the false pretense of verifying my address and then tried to upsell me, saying that the standard battery with the camera only lasts for 20 minutes and that most people buy a larger capacity battery when they buy the camera. I have several friends with the Camera and they are happy with it so I knew this was a bogus claim. I said I was not interested in the battery and just wanted the camera. The operator than got quite rude with me and hung up the phone. I recalled the number and a different person answered. When told of the situation the person told me that the camera was on backorder for 6 to 10 weeks. Clearly this is not a legitimate vendor and their scam is to list on everyprice.com where they actually control the recommendations, be the lowest vendor so that they get the transaction and contact/billing details of the client, and then call to upsell the order, encouraging clients to cancel their orders if the upsell is not successful. Best to deal with a known vendor that you know and trust - that is the lesson for me here.
