My case is exactly the same as the report #280851.
Our Nokia 6103's screen started to slowly die on us, getting more and more black patches.
When we called customer support, they said that this is a common problem with this specific model and that they (T-Mobile) are going to replace it for us free of charge (well, with $10 shipping fee that is).
Now, we get a $108 bill from them for "Out of Warranty" replacement!
When we called customer support center, the representative as well as her superviser told us that their technicians at the wharehouse took a look and found a water damage.
We never dropped that phone into any liquids and never spoke on it under the rain.
Body sweat?! I never sweat when talking on the phone, but even if I did, if their phone gets "water damage" from a body sweat or "condensation from the air", it is a design defect, and the manufacturer should replace it!
I smell a class action suit, and I hope T-Mobile gets one. It definitely deserves.
