The Motorola Razr sold by Verizon is a horrible piece of garbage.in conjunction with the Cell Phone Insurance Scam, the Razr is designed to break down in within several months so that insurance companies can tack an extra $5 a month to "insure" the phone so it can be replaced. To make matters worse, the Insurance itself if fraudulent. Here was a class action lawsuit filed against cell phone insurance companies:

I've had my new Razr for several months. The only key on the entire phone that works is the red "on/off" button. The rest of the keys do not respond. The phone itself randomly shuts off even when there is a full charge on the larger battery (I purchased the upgraded battery). My wife's Razr (she uses her Razr far less than I do) has several keys that do not work, including the number 9 key - so if she or my kids are in trouble, they can't dial 911.
So, because I opted out of the extra $5 a month insurance scam offered by Verizon/Motorola, I am forced to purchase new phones and wonder if the next manufacturer is purposely building and inferior product to fuel this Cell Phone Insurance Scam!
