I was in search of a camera and had decided on one of Canon's. I'm very suspicious of buying electronics online, but believed that this guys homey web site and homey location in Missouri would belie my negativity. I'd also checked usacomplaints.com and couldn't find anything on him.
I ordered the camera at the end of August and on August 29th noticed that my credit card had been hit. I emailed this company several times with no response. Finally I hear from him and he apologizes for the delay saying that there was a death in the family. Ok. That does happen.
I sent another email a few days later letting the owner know that I was leaving for a trip on September 12th and could he please get me the camera before then. I also offered my sympathies for the death in his family.
And time goes by and no camera appears. I email him again reminding him of needing the camera on the 12th and requesting a tracking number. He emails me back and apologizes for not answering my email in a more timely fashion and that it was because he'd been planning the funeral and taking care of the arrangements of his mother. He also states that he'll authorize his warehouse to use 2 day shipping so I'd have the camera in time.
On the 10th I was notified by email that my camera was shipped.
On the 12th I left for my trip without my camera. However, I called home each day asking if the camera arrived and my husband kept telling me there was nothing.
I email WCS again letting him know that the camera hadn't arrived yet. This was done on the 16th of September. I asked him if he would please give me the tracking number.
His response is that he would check with his warehouse and get back to me. I have to email him again requesting the tracking number, again, and any information available. He finally emails me back stating the warehouse showed 2 cameras in stock, but that he didn't have any and he would credit me with a full refund.
I'm stunned. This guy bumped my credit card on the 29th of August and it is now the 18th of September and he's telling me that he doesn't have the camera. Also, remember, I'd received a notification that the product was shipped a week ago.
This guy hit up my credit card for the camera and sent me a notification of it being sent several weeks later AND DIDN'T HAVE THE CAMERA!!!
It took me 3 weeks to get a straight answer out of this guy after he had my money!!!
I'm not worried about him crediting me because it was put on a credit card and they will take care of that. But I am stunned at the over all behavior. And because of all of this, I sure hope he didn't stall and buy time using his poor mother being ill and dying as a delay tactic!
All I can say is buyer beware!!!
