I bought a set of Trust 5.1 Suuround Speakers Model number: SP-6250Z.
I have looked at the claim that they have a total of 50 Watts R.M.S. Output (100 Watts Music Power). I am an electronics technician and have looked at the speakers/circuit board. The 5 satellite speakers are each rated at 3 watts (total 15 watts). The sub woofer is rated at 10 watts which means it can't output no more than 25 watts.
Looking at the circuit board. The I.C.'s for the 5 satellite speakers can't output no more than 1 watt per channel (5 watts total for the 5 speakers) The I.C. Is a TDA 2822.
I don't know about the sub woofer but I bet it can't output no more than 5 watts.
I have emailed the manufacturer and they have stated that the TOTAL R.M. S output is 15 Watts... I even find this hard to beleive! I bet a lot of their other speaker systems are advertised wrongly
What a ripoff!
