Credit Card number kept on file and used for erroneous charges. They won't refund the charges. Ripoff

In October I ordered a cell phone with service through T-Mobile. At that time I informed the CSR, Jason, that I needed a service that would be available anywhere as I am a federal disaster assistance employee and cell phone is often the only means of communication in a disaster area. He informed me then "you shouldn't have any problem" with the T-Mobile service.

On November 20, I was deployed. Upon arrival at the disaster area I discovered that I had no cell phone service and consequently had to contract with another provider. On November 22, I phoned Let's Talk and spoke to Chris to inform them of the problem and that I would have to cancel as I had to contract with another provider in order to have service in the disaster area. He informed me at that time to call T-Mobile to cancel with them, which I did. I asked Chris what I should do with the phone and his exact words were "Keep It."

I received a statement from T-Mobile requiring a cancellation fee of $200. I contacted them and spoke to Ruben and explained the problem to him. He asked that I provide documentation of the deployment and this was provided. Ruben and the people at T-Mobile were extremely helpful and understanding and because of the circumstances waived the cancellation fee.

On April 2 I received my credit card statement. I was shocked to see a charge on March 2nd by Let's Talk for $150.00. The company had never called me, sent me a bill or contacted me in any way. I called them and spoke to John who informed me that it was a cancellation fee. I explained to him that T-Mobile had waived that fee and he assured me that it would be corrected and that someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours.

By May 7 I still had not received credit to my account and nobody from Let's Talk had contacted me. I called them again and spoke to Aaron, who agreed that they never should have charged the cancellation fee and that he would follow up on it and call me back in 10 minutes. He asked if I had returned the phone and I told him that I was told by Chris to "keep it" but that I would send it back if they wanted it. He did not reply.

By May 9, Aaron still had not called me. I called him and left a message asking him to return my call and let me know when it would be corrected. He did not return my call.

Two hours later I called again and spoke to Amber, who was less than polite. She informed me that it takes 3 to 5 days to make the credit to my card. It had already been 5 weeks and they had not made the correction and to date have not done so.

This company kept my credit card number on file and made charges to it without my knowledge or consent and now will not return my money. I would never trust this company with a credit card number or bank account number and it is no telling how long they will keep your number or what they will do with it.
