I recently tried to purchase a digital camera from The Digital Expo. They sent me and email after I gave them all my billing information saying that I had to call before they sent out my camera. I called the next day and the man on the phone said I had to buy a battery because the one it came with only lasted 20 min.
I told him I will test out the camera and battery first before I upgrade. He then told me one battery was for two hours and the other lasted for 5 hours and that I need to buy one of them. The two hour one was 69.99 and the other was 99.99 with a free case with purchase. I told him I didn't want it and he became very mad. He told me I was not making any sense.
He then told me I could get the 99.99 battery for 69.99 and the free case. I told once again I didn't want it and he became verbally abusive. He said that I was dumb for not buying it and said it would be like me putting in 2 dollars worth of gas in my car everytime I filled up and having to fill back up soon. I suppose he was trying to compare the battery the camera came with, with that of the after market batteries.
He then told me the camera was refurbished. I said it doesn't say that it is on the website.By this time the man is yelling and using disrespectful language. It doesn't say that the specific camera that I wanted was refurbished anywhere. The website just says that some of the products are refurbished but not which ones. He then asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. I said I don't want to right now but I will if you keep talking to me in that manner. He said fine I am going to cancel your order and there will be a 25% cancellation fee.
I told him that I didn't confirm I wanted to cancel yet and he said its to late. The only way now that I can get the camera was to buy a new one from him. I told him he completely out of line. He then kept trying to hang up on me. I told him that he is being very unprofessional. He kept yelling and said he will contact a credit collecter and then he just hung up on me. This website and company need to be shut down. I called back later in the day to just ask what their physical address was and they wouldn't give me it or even the state they were located in.
