I ordered a cable box from this company. The website says "30 Day Free Trial! Try it out free for 30 Days in your home!" also says "30 Day money back guarantee!" and "100 % Satisfaction Guarantee! After I placed the order online. I received a phone call to confirm my order. I asked about paying with a credit card and was told they don't take credit cards but would send it COD with free shipping. I was assured that I have nothing to lose because if it doesn't work to my satisfaction I could return it for a full refund. I received the box on 11-7-06, hooked it up and it did not work. I called 1-800-930-4935 and spoke with Joe. I told Joe I received my cable box today, and it does not work properly. Most channels (35 of them that are basic cable channels that I am paying for) all have a very dark picture leaving me with 15 out of 50 channels to view. He told me to hook it up directly to the TV, not using the coax cable but with the RCA jacks. I did this with no change. He then told me to hook it up to a different TV.

I have no trouble with my existing cable box on this TV and told him that I don't want to use it on a different TV. He was apparently offended and told me he was the expert in this field, not me. I told him his attitude was inappropriate for someone in a customer service field, and he hung up on me. I called back to try to get a return authorization number and he told me I must go thru the website to do that. I have been through basic electronics training, and don't believe it requires that much expertise to install a cable box to my television. I did however hook this thing up to a different TV and big surprise; it didn't work any different on it. As per Joe's instructions I emailed for a RMA number, my email address must have already been blocked because it would come back to me as undeliverable. I used another email account and emailed again for the RMA number, and left numerous messages requesting the RMA number with no response from him by phone or email.

He would not answer calls from me or return emails or messages that I left. He finally answered the phone when I called on 11-30-06. He told me he believed that I was trying to use the box illegally and that voided my guarantee. He refuses to give me a refund. I told him I was going to send the box to him without the needed RMA (return authorization number) that the website and he says I must have to return it. Joe said, Do you think I'm stupid enough to put my correct address on the invoice and the box? He has called me an asshole and a faggot, said I have retarded children, called my wife a dog, said he could not understand me for my hillbilly accent and even said I conned you and laughed afterwards. He has threatened to report me to the State's Attorney Generals office, to my cable company, and told me his lawyers would be in touch with me. None have contacted me yet.

He is downright nasty on the phone trying to get me to hang up on him, but I refused to hang up on him or quit calling his toll free number, which he is be paying the bill for. He told me he has free incoming calls and it's not costing him a dime. I researched this and no telephone company gives 800 numbers with free incoming calls, and told him that I would rather his telephone company get the money from him than for him to keep the money that he has stolen from me. I have called him many, many, many times and I am keeping him on the phone as much as I can. I try to strike up conversation with him on anything he would be willing to talk about since he is the one paying for the call. I have gotten him very angry on the phone and he continues to hang up on me. But I will continue to call him until he gives me my money back, and have told him as much. I always tell him on the phone that he is a thief and should stop stealing from people and that I would like to get a RMA number and return this paperweight to him.

He always says, I don't sell paperweights. To which I always respond that he sold me one because that is all it's good for. He has told me he is a very wealthy man, and wipes his ass with dollar bills and that the box only cost him $20. I paid $229. He assured me I was the only one getting ripped off on this deal because he sold the box to me for 10 times what he paid for it. He has told me he already spent my money and laughed at me. If this guy has ripped you off, please continue to call him as long as you can handle his attitude and tone with you over the phone. He will tell you all kinds of lies to make you think that you are wasting your time, but rest assured he is the one paying for the call, and get some of you dignity back that way as you will not get a refund from him, or maybe you will as I'm not finished with him yet.
