Warranty Ripoff

I purchased a Cannon pocket camera. A very nice one, and very expensive. Because it was expensive, I purchased the Circuit City care plan. About a year after the purchase, the SHUTTER button popped off. No problem, I figured I would take it in to get it repaired. Everything else is PERFECT on the camera; except no shutter button.

I called the 1-800 number for service and was advised that buttons are considered cosmetic and they are not covered. What!!!??? I can not use the camera. So, everything else works, but I cannot take a picture.

I then took it back to the store where I purchased it and demanded to see where a button is considered "cosmetic". They had nothing but the promotional papers that claim "we'll fix it or it's free" and "No hassle". Come on!!!
