Two guys in a white mini-van with Illinois plates asked me if I wanted a deal on speakers while I was waiting at a stop-light. Stupidly, I pulled over and looked at what they had to offer. The showed me a catalog with the speakers in it, and they were priced at $1200. The guy told me a story about how his boss would sell the speakers when he got back to work if he didn't sell them first.
I looked at the speakers and they looked fine. It's a scam, and unfortunately I fell for it. I offered him $400 for the pair. He accepted and I thought I was getting a great deal. Upon closer examination, however, the speakers turned out to be cheap imitations. Do not fall for this scam!
