OnRebate.com is so unresponsive that they have to be making money by wearing down the suckers who try to submit rebates. My experience:
1) Bought computer from TigerDirect. Went online to apply for rebate and confirmation email to be sent within 24 hrs..
2) After three or four days and no confirmation, I emailed them and waited another two days.
Contacted Tiger Direct and they told me to call OnRebate.com.
3) I called them and got caught in a menu that did nothing for my problem.
4) Called again and dialed "0" (as Tiger suggested) to get living body and had to wait ten minutes to get a living person. They did give me a confirmation code to plug into the site to continue the rebate application process.
4) I went to the site and the part where you were supposed to plug in the confirmation and get the form was down. Tried on and off for an hour and quit until the next day.
5) The next day, I did manage to enter code and get the form which I then mailed with documentation.
6) One week is past and OnRebate.com's web site says they are still "&awaiting the documentaion".
How many people give up before they get this far? I now have to stay on top of this to make sure that I get the $100.00 rebate? No more rebate purchases. Probably no more from TigerDirect who must be profiting from the confusion and who have not written me back after my first email.
