I was a Dish network subscriber over four years ago. When I moved, I terminated my account in good standing and subscribed to DirecTV at my new home.
The current subscriber at my previous address has had problems with Dish Network imposing enormous penalties because of its own billing errors. The current subscriber paid these penalties for a while but has now terminated service because of Dish Network's unconscionable billing practices.
I came home this weekend from an extended vacation to find that Dish Network had billed MY credit card for $298.00 because of the problems it caused with the current subscriber. Dish Network acknowledges that I am not a subscriber but insists on billing me for an account that I closed over four years ago in good standing!
If Dish Network does not back off, I will present this information to our county grand jury when it convenes and file a claim in small claims court, as well. Of course, I have filed a dispute with Mastercard, and this abomination should not get any further than that.
If you are planning a class action suit against Dish Network, count me in! It gratifies me to see charlatans and thieves get their comeuppance.
