Tigerdirect, no matter how one sees it uses their onrebate thing to rip-off clients. I have just been denied my fourth rebate for the last 4 months UWUWE7JUTKPEWGAT was just denied this morning and of course a piece of information was missing. The barcode was not there and I just think that they should remove the claim that all rebates are guaranteed.
I have used rebates all over the place and for so many years. The experience with Tiger has been the most painful, because I have lost close to 250 dollars worth of MIR. But to have people go through all the steps lined up on their rebate site just to let them know later that their application was denied was an insult to the many of us that do business on the internet.
It's well established that MIR are very attrative marketing stategy and it has been working very well for tigerdirect because at the end of the day, they sell their product for the price they want.
The Washington Post had an article on this MIR a while ago where they provided a very useful advise to folks like me. Don't buy unless you really need. Certainly don't buy because the article has a MIR offer attached to it..
I have just asked tigerdirect to please cancell the remainder of the rebate application that I have with them... I just do now want to receive a letter from Tigerdirect anymore, their letters kill something inside of me...
