Afteer getting ripped off by Liberty for these occurrences:
1. Rejected my submittal of their rebate form for the purchase price of cell phone, timely submitted.
2. Refusal to send me a Free DVD player unless I paid for excessive shipping charges and and mailed their provider a photo ID (opening me to identity theft for sure)
3. Repeatedly, submitting monthly unauthorized charges to my credit card used to initially open the account, but not reused. They just go ahead and charge your card anyway without your input. So much for pay as you go; only buy when you wnat to. They use this periodic billing blindly to the customer, never disclosing such... Only way to know is seeing it pop up on credit card billing after the fact and then Liberty refusing to grant the credits back.
4. The final blow: I closed the account. They confirmed; I sold the cell phone onb ebay only ot find out that Liberty won;t allow my purchaser to activate an account even though they conform I closed it.
By all these notes, potential buyers should be aware they are dealing with an unscrupulous company... One that will cause yhe subscriber much financial difficulty as they gouge them by not rebating the purcahse price of a phone... And then summarily billing a credit card that was used only to open the account.
Their business model is to get subscribers and no matter if they drop off after they screw them. They have made a sizeable revenue stream from sale of cell phones. Thier business modle is based on for every customer they lose, they egt 7 ignorant new ones like me.
