Skybox Tv is a dish cable system. I originally recieved there offer through email advertisment. The deal was you sent them 49.99 and they would send you a dish and 2 recievers and the equipment would be all yours. You would in return select a package and subscribe for 2 years. Well what I got was a certificate, it had there program choices, and if I don, t recall a gold seal on it showing a #1 ranking from jd powers. You were suppose to call a number on the cerificate (which I surely wish I had made a copy of since it had the only phone number on it that I have ever been able to talk to the company directly), and give them your programming choice and they would then send
someone out to install the equipment, which when you read the print is there property and not yours.
Well, after talking to them I found out that unlike they advertised I could not recieve network channels on it, bewcause of the area i live in, andf that the certificate they sent me they didn, t recognize the numbers off of it and wanted me to send it back for another one.
Well, I told them I would rather just send it back and cancel alltogether which the 30 day gaurantee would allow. They said ok so I mailed it back. Well not only did i not get my money back they helped themselves to 100.00 out of my account without my permission, I only found out when I got my monthly bank statement, in my book I call this a crime. If I did this to someone I would be considered a thief and so should companies like SKYBOX TV, but they know that they can get away with this because it would cost me more money than that to attempt to get it back.
If you know of any means i could do anything I would love to know. The worst part is that after numerous attempts to
contact this company and filing acomplaint with the BBB, which they ignored, my wife gets emails from this place trying to sell the same bullshit, we comlained to aol, this just should not be allowed to happen.
As I mentioned trying to get info on this company was difficult, the only mailing adress we had was in Georgia, they said they do mainly internet business.
Judging by the total lack of response I got when dealing with this company there surely has to be many complaints on file.
