In January of 1994, we purchased a very expensive Canon NP-6030 copier with sorter and virtually all bells and whistles. At that time the Canon rep promised that it would still be producing quality copies at 1 million copies.
In 2001 we moved and in order to keep our warranty and maintenance agreement in effect we paid Canon to move it. Conveniently during the move they lost all of the service records and paperwork which went with the copier.
In 2003 when we tried to renew the maintenance agreement they would not renew the agreement because parts were starting to be unavailable.
Now, at only 718,000 copies we not only can no longer get it repaired, but it is even worthless on the used market.
