I purchased a Viewcam Z VL-Z3 for 450.00. Mistake: I did not purchase extended warranty.
I am not able to take pictures with this digital camera. The word "DEW" shows up and the camera shuts down. It doesn't matter the time of year.
I have called Sharp USA at: 1-800-237-4277 to ask for support, serval times. All calls went un-returned.
I emailed Sharp USA Customer Support at: sharpusa.com/global/ContactUsProdSupp/1,1878, 00.html. Several times. All E-Mails went un-answered.
So I finally wrote Sharp USA at: 1300 Naperville Drive, Romeoville, IL 60446 U.S.A.
And that went un-answered too.
I have a 450.00 camera on my shelf that does not take pictures.
You can take video or still pictures, that was the biggest sales pitch. I was excited that you can snap still pictures off your recorded videos.
I only got about 9 months use from this camera. But the worse of it all is that Sharp has no support, did not return any one of my serveral inquires.
I do not blame the store that sold me the camera, they did offer me the extra warranty.
