Ran into emloyees of PTS three times in two months, using fraud and telling lies to sell home theater equipment to people on the streets. Each time they showed me a magazine of their products, marked with PTS, and they wore PTS t-shirts.
They told the same story, stating they were delivering speakers to a local business and the order was placed wrong, putting them in a situation where they needed to get rid of the extras by selling them off quickly. The local businesses they mentioned never were expecting a delivery from PTS, and the salesmen gave me phony information, particularly phone numbers.
Friendly, very well trained, and convincing. Products they had available for sale are on their website; the speakers I bought were LISTED at $1500 a piece, but according the many opinions I received, they're worth no more than $100 a piece.
They sound very low quality. Come to find out, they've been at this for years, and the products they've sold have taken a number of brand names: Dogg Digital, Theater Research, Digital Research, and others, all of which local professional electronics retailers have never heard of.
I found SEVERAL open forums on ecoustics.com filled with literally HUNDREDS of complaints from people all over the U.S. And Canada telling the exact same story, and mentioning the name of PTS. I found them by way of a google search for 'Digital Research Scam'.
Very obviosly-well organized and executed nation-wide scam that no one seems to be able to do anything about. Their website says they're hiring for "inside sales".
