Today I while I was waiting in the drive thru line at a fast food place a guy in a white van asked if I wanted some speakers. To make it short, I ended up paying $1300 for 2 sets of sl-1400 speakers that were supposedly worth $4000 each and a 5.1 home theater system worth $2000. He said that the order was messed up and that his boss would just keep them for himself if he took them back. He also "kept" a home theater system for himself, which I bet the bastard will sell to someone else who is a little gullible. He sold me the extra set, saying I could sell them for more than what I was paying for them.
I was skeptical at first, until I saw the invoice saying they were worth $1,999.00 each. Even the colored printout from the company inside the box had that price, as does the Dogg Digital website (www.doggdigitalaudio.com).in small print it says "Manufacturer's suggested prices do not represent a bonafide selling price in the metro trading area." That is BS, seeing as how these speakers are only worth maybe $200 apiece at the most, and the bottom speakers are fake.
This company needs to be put down, just like how people put their dogs to sleep when they get old or sick. The company that was supposedly recieving the speakers is Professional Audio Concepts at 1422 3rd Ave S., Seattle, WA 99207. I am not sure if this company exists, as I have not been able to find it yet.
I and everyone else knows that what is going on here is crap, and everyone affected deserves compensation.
