Rebate ripoff

I purchased a Motorola V66 mobile phone from a site owned by Iphonics representing T-Mobile.

There was a new customer rebate of $80. I made sure that I crossed all the T's and dotted the I's.

As it turned out, they created a legal catch 22 so they would not have to pay the rebate. First of all, they stated that any objections had to be made withine 120 days from activation. The requirements said that three bills had to be submitted, along with proof of payment.
I did this. I enclosed the UPC. That requirement brings it to the 120 days.

I received a email saying that I had not fulfilled the requirement. My documentation was missing the copy of the "Guide to Wireless Service."

Such promised rebates stimulate sales, since the potential customer figures it will come off the price of the phone.

The address of the rebate offer was PO Box 100363-BAM, White Bear Lake, Minnesota 55110-0363
