I am an ex employee of the company. I left a few weeks ago because I was worried that I could be arrested for condoning the following activities:
1) Crimminal Spamming
The owner of the company, Scott Mitchell is being charged in Federal Court for criminal spamming. He personally wrote software that hacked into AOL, Yahoo and other chat networks for the purpose of stealing e-mail addresses. Once he had the e-mail addresses, he sent fake e-mails with fake pictures of woman soliciting guys to join Eroticy (Mitchell's site) He personally sends over 1 million fake e-mails EACH DAY.
2) In addition, his software sometimes picks up credit card information of members of competing sites he hacks. Mitchell wrote software to charge these credit card accounts.
3) His dating site (EROTICY) was developed by stealing the software of another dating site and porting it to the web. He was exposed in court for this criminal offense (info still on the web) at http://www.loundy.com/CASES/YourNetDating_v_Mitchell.html
4) Consumer FRAUD
Mitchell employs a number of young men to pose online as single women members of his dating site (EROTICY).
The government is investigating this as part of a Federal Mail Fraud Case against Mitchell. It is fraud to charge people to belong to a dating site that is populated with the company's own employees posing as members.
5) Moral Crimes
Mitchell purchased a database of e-mail addreses of wives of American Soldiers stationed in Iraq. He personally e-mailed all the women with fake letters pretending to be men wanting to meet them. They of course had to belong to his dating site, eroticy.com.
I am disclosing this information because innocent people should not be duped by this imoral criminal, Scott Mitchell. STOP paying money to belong to Eroticy.com.
Existing members should write thir Credit Card Company that they wish to NOT do business with Eroticy.com or their parent company Webcapades.
